Beeckman Place has always been a happy place for us.

My parents had a fabulous duplex at 20 Beekman Place and we had a super view of The East River.

The river views are very calming especially at dusk and you are always near near the FDR Drive for easy access to Southapmton and great restaurants.

Most purchase the pre-war Beeckman Place properties best since they have history and are usually highly coveted by new Manhattan home buyers.

The majority of Beekman Place homes today is still very desireable and expensive.

But also very safe and clean. Many United Nations workers live close by as the UN is located here too. Therefore there are also unlimited superb nightspots in the neighborhood.

One thing you do miss is the close proximity to Fifth Avenue for me and my puppy to get exercise.

But the two parks behind Sutton Place that runs along the FDR Drive is extremelyconvenient.
